We came into town from Baltimore for a night to see a concert at jiffy lube. Great toom, beds were super comfortable with fluffy pillows, the room was very clean and fairly large. The pressure in the shower was great as well. We stayed for one night and it was only 20 mins from venue and a few mins walking to the local gas station sheetz.
After staying in another hotel and getting no sleep we decided to stay at BW in Massass. Rooms was very clean the day clerk was the nicest clerk ever. We have stayed several times at this hotel and will continue to stay with this hotel. Very very very quiet and friendly. We are in process of adopting and need to stay until mother has baby. So traveling for Dr appts and doing all the steps we are here alot off/on. Easy to get to and away from busy highway.
We always stay here when visiting Manassas. Clean rooms. Good rates. No Smoking - a must for an ex-smoker. Away from the nightmare traffic on Sudley Road. Most of all, some of the friendliest, most helpful people you'll find anywhere.
300$ fine for smoking is ridiculous! Definitely looking for a hotel with smoking rooms next time!
While we are sorry you are upset, our property has a strict no smoking policy. This policy and related non-compliant fine is clearly posted in our lobby and the rooms.
While we respect this is a personal decision, many of our customers stay with us due to this strict policy. People with allergies and other health conditions count on us to enforce the rule. The fine may sound high until it is understood just what must be done to clean a room before it can again be used. Everything must be washed; carpets, mattresses, curtains etc. must be deep cleaned. This issue goes as far as the walls and all furniture and accessories in the room. This is not an inexpensive task to achieve both in time and material. We greatly appreciate compliance as do our customers.
I recently had family in the area for a funeral and my house was not able to accommodate everyone. We booked rooms at the Best Western Manassas Hotel on Mathis Ave and were very pleased. The staff were very nice and accommodating. They noticed my aunt had difficulty walking and made sure her room was on the lower level so she did not have to use the stairs. My family had nothing but great things to say about this hotel. I will use them again, just hopefully not for a funeral!
Arrived to check in and the desk clerk was off helping another guest. No problem, waited about 10 minutes when the clerk returned. No apologies for being away or even saying hello. Just "name please". Not the most pleasant of clerks. Room a/c did not cool properly, toilet was slow, tub leaked and the TV could not pick up a signal for the most part. Needless to say, we will stay elsewhere in Manassas upon our next visit.

We had a little difficulty locating this hotel, but it was well worth the effort. It was about 4 miles south of the highway. We were checked in by a very nice lady on Thursday 12th. July. We decided to just pay for one night as we were unsure of the hotel and the area. Next day we decided to stay longer. The room was very clean and comfortable. The door to room was very solid, a marching band could have been in the corridor and we would have heard nothing. The breakfast area was very small, we had a nice breakfast. In all we stayed here for four nights and we were well pleased with our stay
Room Tip: We requested a top floor room near reception and it was perfect.
It was the most amazing experience to have stayed at best western. The service that they offer at the hotel and the location is very good. The hotel is very cost effective and also we can choose our type of room from a large variety of options. Surely one should opt for this hotel.
Room Tip: Ask the staff there, they are very helpful and will show you all kinds of rooms.
This was a surprisingly wonderful place. At first glance, you would think it's not in the best area: everywhere around you buildings look run down and unkempt, the "Couples Boutique" across the street, and just the outside look of the hotel itself.
Once inside, though, it was fantastic. The room was a great size for what we paid. The woman at the front desk had a phenomenal personality and gave us recommendations on what to have for dinner. The air conditioning in the room worked fantastically, although it was a bit noisy. There was an in room fridge that was on when we arrived and was super cold. There's no temperature control on the fridge, but I swear, it couldn't go any colder. It was also large enough to hold lots of bottles of water and various food items. There was a microwave in the room, but we did not use it.
The only reasons I didn't give it an excellent rating:
1) When we walked into our room, it smelled very strongly of old cigarette smoke.
2) A lot of the outlets in the room didn't hold the plugs in. The one right next to the bed was very touchy; if the cord of the plug was moved at all, the device would stop charging or just turn off. The top outlet across the room couldn't hold the plug in at all. Also, with everything that needed to be plugged in around the room, there were only two sockets available.
Even still. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We loved it here.
Room Tip: No elevator, so if you have a lot of bags, try for the first floor.
Excellent choice for a business visit to Manassas. It is located in a industrial area. You do have to drive some from Interstate 95. Would have been nice to have an elevator for 2nd floor. Good breakfast and very quiet. Bed was wonderful. Air conditioner was a little noisy.
Room Tip: There is no elevator - so you do have to carry luggage to the 2nd floor.
